It's a way to add an extra layer of communication in case of an accident for motorcycle and bicycle riders. As a new motorcycle rider, he wanted to make sure his mobile device sent information using mobile device data plan that could help those close to him know the last coordinates of his location provided by mobile device GPS, as well as provide additional detail that would assist friends/family locate him in the event he was unable to send a request for help himself.
